And always, for crying out loud, keep a sense of humor. For that I give thanks. And life is too short to waste. You realize how fragile life is and that there are so many things to still be thankful for. Strive to find things to be thankful for, and just look for the good in who you are. None of us got to where we are alone. The trick is to be grateful when your mood is high and graceful when it is low. I would maintain that thanks are the highest form of thought, and that gratitude is happiness doubled by wonder.

My advice: Take a second out of the day today and be thankful for your family. Thanksgiving is a time when the world gets to see just how blessed and how workable the Christian system is. The emphasis is not on giving or buying, but on being thankful and expressing that appreciation to God and to one another. So many people have touched my heart and made an impact on my world.
